The main body uses a roll-top closure and a full-length side zipper so you can get to gear without unpacking from the top. Behind your back, an upgraded Infiknit™ seamless harness with FastFlow™ ventilation moves air across your shoulders and prevents the chafe spots that wreck multi-day runs. The whole thing weighs 690g — light by any backpack standard, and unusually so for 30L of usable capacity.
If you're planning a Drakensberg traverse, building toward a self-supported FKT attempt, or you want one pack that handles a 100-miler with mandatory kit and an overnight from the trailhead, the Fastpack 30 is built for you. It runs best between 5 and 7kg of base weight — pack it like a fastpacker, not a backpacker, and it disappears on your back. For shorter day-long adventures, look at the Fastpack 20; for genuine multi-week loads, look at the Fastpack 40.
